The CES (consumer electronics show) 2020 is started from 7 Jan 2020, in Las Vegas, and will end on 10 Jan 2020. Many top technological companies are participating in the show. This year Apple, which did not attend the CES since 1992, is participating at the show and will take part in security-related developments.
There are a few interesting ideas presented in the CES 2020. Some of the best ideas are explained below.
Vision S
This year, Sony also surprised the attendees at CES show by presenting an electric vehicle, which is a completely different field for Sony. The prototype vehicle presented is known as Vision S. It is well equipped with 360 reality audio, and 33 sensors, which can observe inside and outside of the vehicle. For infotainment and vehicle sensors information, it is equipped with a large monitor display.
According to officials, the vehicle is developed using newly designed electric vehicle platform, which was provided by Magna, an automotive supplier. Magna will also be able to update the vehicle through cloud connectivity.
Sony also announced partners involved in the project, which include Bosch, Continental, and Qualcomm.
In addition, Sony has also presented the new logo for PlayStation 5, which is expected to launch next year.
New Cars Concepts
Honda presented its new vehicle, which is designed in the shape of a buggy. The car has minimum driving controls and no pedals. The acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle are transferred to disc-shaped steering, which can be a push and pull like a big button.
Fiat also presented its Centoventi’s version, which also has most of the smart features with a wide body of SUV.
Audi also exhibits its fully-autonomous concept car which has a retractable desk instead of the steering wheel.
Fisker is also presenting its electric sport utility car, which is known as Fisker Ocean. It also has the minimum driving features with autonomous features and has a solar glass on the roof for charging. According to the officials, the car will be available in 2020 for public use.
Toyota exhibits its LQ concept car, which has the level 4 autonomous features. It is also equipped with Yui, which is the artificial intelligence assistant of LQ and will come built-in in LQ in future.
Although these concept cars prototypes are exhibiting at the CES 2020, it will take years for full commercialisation of these vehicles.
