Yes, Huawei has recently announced that it is working on automotive sensors and it would create a network of sensors which would include LIDAR and radars.
Huawei equipment is usually considered low-cost compared to other manufacturers. Although currently, the low price may not be the main selling point as safety would be the top concern for automakers. However, once Huawei established its auto brand, then it can play its low price card as well.
